LGBTQ Financial Planning Day is an annual pro bono event where community members attend workshops and receive 1:1 consultations with financial advisors, certified public accountants, and estate planning attorneys to increase their financial literacy.
 
The workshops will focus on estate planning and retirement management and will be especially useful for LGBTQ seniors. Register below to select which workshops you’d like to attend, and whether you’d also like a free 1:1 consultation. Limited reservations are available, but walk-ins are also encouraged.
 
Workshops presented by various professionals throughout the day.
 
At 10:30 a.m., Alma will present a workshop on Estate Planning, particularly relating to the LGBTQ community. Topics will include: Wills, living trusts, powers of attorney, marriage and domestic partnership, document language useful for non-binary and trans people, property tax and co-ownership issues for unmarried couples who are not domestic partners.
 
All the workshops are free, but to ensure seating, you must register.
