Ned Fluet is a partner in the Trusts and Estates Group with a focus on trust and estate litigation, elder abuse litigation, and commercial litigation. Ned has appeared in and has represented clients in both federal and state courts across the country as well as before various arbitration tribunals. Ned has first chaired and second chaired numerous jury and bench trials and has extensive experience managing all aspects of litigation and mediation.
Prior to joining Lakin Spears, Ned served as a Deputy Attorney General for the Office of the California Attorney General and as a Special Assistant United States Attorney for the Northern District of California. Ned was also a litigation associate at McDermott Will & Emery where he practiced complex commercial litigation and trust and estate litigation. From 2008 to 2009, Ned served as a law clerk for Chief Justice F. Michael Kruse and Associate Justice Lyle L. Richmond of the High Court of American Samoa.
Ned is admitted to practice in California, Illinois, and American Samoa. He is a member of the San Mateo County Bar Association, the Silicon Valley Bar Association, and the American Bar Association. He is currently chair of the Town of Woodside Environment: Open Space, Conservation & Sustainability Committee.
