Jennifer Wald is a partner in the Family Law Group and is certified as a specialist in family law by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization. Her practice is devoted exclusively to family law with an emphasis on complex financial issues. She practices in both San Mateo and Santa Clara Counties.
Prior to joining Lakin Spears in October 1992, Jennifer practiced at Heller, Ehrman, White & McAuliffe in San Francisco.
Jennifer has been selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America every year since 2010. She was named 2015 San Francisco Family Law Lawyer of the Year by The Best Lawyers in America. She has been named a Northern California “Super Lawyer” every year since 2005. Jennifer is rated AV® Preeminent™ by Martindale Hubbell.
Jennifer is the author of a chapter in the 2010 CEB book, “Child and Spousal Support, Establishing, Modifying, and Enforcing” and its annual updates. Jennifer is also the co-author of a chapter of the 2008 CEB book, “Family Law, Financial Discovery” and its annual updates. She is the co-author of the article “Equitable Apportionment of a Separate Property Business”, published by the California State Bar’s Family Law News.
Jennifer is a Palo Alto native and enjoys horseback riding in the Stanford foothills.
