David W. Hettig Mr. Hettig provides legal services for clients in the following areas:
Mr. Hetting practices law concentrating on trusts, estates, probates, family tax and estate planning, and wealth transfers. He has considerable experience in planning and handling large, complex estates, charitable gift planning and advanced estate and gift tax planning matters. Mr. Hettig has lectured on estate planning and tax matters, including the Northern Trust Annual Trust Seminar, the Stanford Planned Giving Seminar and Foothill College courses on investment and retirement planning. He co-authored with Michael E. Klingler, “Mediating Probate & Estate Disputes,” California Trusts and Estates Quarterly, Vol. 2, No.3, Fall 1996. Mr. Hettig is a member of California State Bar, the American Bar Association, Santa Clara County Bar and the Palo Alto Area Bar Association. He is also a member of the Palo Alto Financial Planning Forum. He served on the YMCA of the Mid-Peninsula board and was the 1998 recipient of the YMCA Distinguished Service Award. Also, he was a founding member and Past Chair of the International Committee, YMCA of the Mid-Peninsula and the Past Chair of the Page Mill YMCA Board of Managers. Mr. Hettig is a co-founder, Board member and Secretary of the Aurora Foundation.
