Ella
J. Duncanson
Ella J. Duncanson is a member of the Trusts
& Estates Group. She is a Certified Specialist, Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law, The State
Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization. Ms. Duncanson practices exclusively in the areas of estate
planning, estate and trust administration.
Prior to joining LAKIN•SPEARS in 1996, Ms. Duncanson interned
for the Probate and Family Law Departments of the San Diego County Superior
Court and practiced estate planning and estate and trust administration
in San Diego, California. Ms. Duncanson’s current practice primarily
focuses on general and complex estate planning and estate and trust
administration matters, including, but not limited to:
- The Preparation of Revocable Living Trusts,
Wills, Durable Powers of Attorney for Property Management, Advanced
Health Care Directives and Corresponding Documents
- The Preparation of Irrevocable Trusts for
Tax and Charitable Planning Purposes.
- Settlements of Court-Supervised Probate
Estates
- Settlements of Non-Court Supervised Trust
Estate Matters
Ms. Duncanson co-founded and was actively involved
in the Law-Related Education Program of Phi Alpha Delta, which introduced
students of all ages to various areas of the law. She is a member of
the Santa Clara County Bar Association and the Palo Alto Bar Association.
Ms. Duncanson enjoys her involvement as an advisor for a local financial
institution and she also enjoys speaking to various groups with regard
to her areas of practice. She is fluent in Croatian and conversational
in Spanish.
